Joining research in the area of nanotechnology for 24 weeks was an amazing experience that introduced me to a cutting-edge field I knew little about before. I worked on a project involving nanoparticles for drug delivery and learned techniques like electron microscopy and material synthesis. The mentors were supportive and made complex topics understandable. It was exciting to see how tiny materials can have such a huge impact in medicine and engineering. This program definitely sparked my interest in pursuing nanotech in college.
